Kundalini Yoga and the Mind

I am pleased to announce another exciting opportunity at Pax Templi!

panshiva has planned a series of classes that will explore the relationship between the practice of Kundalini Yoga and the Mastery of Mind. Course content will include study of mental patterns(samskaras) in relationship to Karma. The method of purification and mental alchemy via meditation. The goal of sublimation of energy to generate Tapas(Psychic heat), and Yoga Psychology as it relates to Kundalini Yoga practice.

8/16 - Yoga Theory and the Mind (Samskaras, Postive, Negative, Neutral Mind)

8/23 - Tattawas and the Mind. The Mind Map. Diagnosis of one's mental state and picking a practice.

8/30 - Mental Alchemy. Purification, Tonification, Transformation, llumination. Stages on the path.

9/6 - Developing a Practice.

These are offered on Tuesday evenings, from 7:30-9pm.

**Mark Shekoyan, Ph.D., is cultural anthropologist whose exploration of spiritual traditions has included yogic apprenticeship with American Sikhs, study in Taiwanese and American Taoist communities, and participation in Western magickal traditions. He has over ten years of experience teaching Kundalini Yoga, Qi Gong, Martial Arts, and Meditation, and is exciting to be sharing Kundalini Yoga with the larger pagan and magickal community.
